I’m more than happy to be a goofball if that’s what it takes to help you and your family relax during your family photo session.
But usually, it looks and sounds more like this:

You hold your kids. I ask you to reflect on your journey and your feelings. There’s so little time, when you’re a parent to really take a breath and think about how far you’ve come.

Sometimes, the feelings that come up are complicated. As a parent of two, I get that. Whatever you’re experiencing — grief or love or both or some swirling concoction of anxiety and amazement — is completely okay to feel in front of my lens (and it’ll make for spectacular photos.)

My name is Meliza
From one mom to another: Understanding your journey
I specialize in photographing families in their element - whether that’s baking cookies in their home, playing in a meadow or running on the beach. I provide families with an experience that’s directed, professional and one-of-a-kind.
Beyond being a mom to two and a portrait photographer, I am also a professional makeup artist that graduated from the renowned makeup College, Blanche Macdonald. Every family session includes a makeup application for one person that helps them feel comfortable and beautiful before their photo shoot. Imagine sitting for an hour while getting your makeup done, relaxing, laughing and having fun and once that hour is up, you get your photos taken. At that point you feel at ease.
